Kristi’s Murphy Bed and Desk
Kristi wanted to convert her guest room into a fully functional craft room. But she also wanted to have a place for her Children and Grandchildren to stay when they come to visit.
We built this beautiful Queen-Size Murphy Bed with a Murphy Desk so this spare room could function exactly how she needs it to.
To add even more functionality we incorporated this fold up desk in to the face of the Bed. This Murphy Desk provides a solid 52” x 38” work surface that’s study enough for Sewing and can be used as a craft cutting table.
To provide plenty of storage we flanked the bed with two book cases with lower drawers. This provides plenty of hidden storage as well as adjustable shelving to hold anything you need it to.
Adding some contrast to the beautiful blue Kristi chose are White Oak Table tops, and White Oak Shiplap backs on the bookcases.
When open this bed system holds a standard queen size mattress and will sleep two adults, or a group of grandkids comfortably.
While we went with a bold color we matched the style of the cabinetry and doors to the existing cabinetry throughout the house. We can match almost any existing cabinetry for your murphy bed installation.
